Yoga for life

The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit root word “yug,” which literally means to yoke or unite. Uniting individual consciousness (our individual experience of reality) with Divine consciousness (the essence of truth as perceived when we quiet our five senses

and reconnect with the divine self within).

Heavenlyoga was born in 2009 on Heavenly Place in Prescott, AZ. First located in our downstairs apartment, I began teaching by donation to anyone that would come. As the student base grew, it became obvious that I would need a larger space. We then converted our four car garage, located across the drive from our home from a working pottery studio to a beautiful space to teach yoga.

After working, teaching and selling fine art pottery for about 22 years, the toxicity of the work caused respiratory stress and was too labor intensive to continue. As much as I loved the end results and the students that came through my studio, I had to retire that part of my life and look forward to my next calling.

I had a personal yoga practice from about 32 years young and loved it so much that becomming certified to teach seemed like a great way to continue to teach something of value to my community. So…at 56 years young I began my middle road.

Thirteen years later, an amicable divorce and several moves of my yoga teaching space, I alighted in a co-op called The Yoga Room in Prescott, AZ. Today I still call that space home for sharing my passion with anyone that has a deep desire to be supple, strong, grounded, find balance and have stamina in their daily lives.

We all deserve to feel good, and we can, regardless of what’s happening in our world. I want to help you.

With great love,

Karen

“Just for today, I will adjust myself to what is and not try to adjust everything to my own desires. I will take my family, my business

and my luck as they come, and fit myself to them”.
